DAY 1 - Arrive AnchorageEnjoy one of our many area bed and breakfasts, ranging from accommodating homestyle to private suites and cabins. Throughout downtown, close to the airport, midtown and south Anchorage a variety of bed and breakfast lodgings to accommodate individual needs. Please indicate your preferences on our reservation form. |
DAY 2 - Explore AnchorageDowntown Anchorage offers many selections of shops and dining as well as several attractions. The Anchorage Museum of History and Art, The Native Heritage Museum, The Anchorage Zoo, The Botanical Gardens, The Alaska Experience Center, Alaska Cineventures, Winter Downhill and Cross country skiing. We can make reservations for any of the following:

DAY 3 - Drive to Denali ParkStop en route at the frontier town of Talkeetna, a widely known staging point for Mt. McKinley climbers. We would be happy to make any of the following reservations:
Continue north to Healy for overnight accommodations ranging from beautiful country homes with mountain views and gourmet breakfasts to modern and comfortable cabins with sweeping views of the Alaska Range. |
DAY 4 - Discover Denali National ParkExplore Denali National Park in any of the following ways:
Spend your second night in your comfy Denali accommodations after a full day of exploring Alaska's most popular park. |
DAY 5 - Drive to FairbanksSeveral of our Fairbanks bed and breakfast offer comfortable rooms with private or shared baths and breakfasts. |
DAY 6 - Visit Fairbanks
A second night in your Fairbanks B&B allows time to rest and see more of this central Alaska city. |
DAY 7 - Drive the Richardson HighwayEn route to Valdez, spend the night in one of our Tok cutoff area B&B's with a beautiful view of the river or mountain ranges. |
DAY 8 - Drive to ValdezThe drive through Thompson Pass is exceptional as it winds downward toward the small and beautiful little town of Valdez. Alaska Private lodgings represents several bed and breakfasts in the Valdez area, several in the downtown area with private or shared baths, some are a few miles outside of town offering private suites and astounding ocean and mountain views. |
DAY 9 - Discover ValdezChoose from any of the following activities:

DAY 10 - Aboard the Marine Hwy Ferry to WhittierArrive in Whittier and spend the night in Girdwood, or head on to Seward if the time of your ferry arrival allows. |
DAY 11 - SewardVisit Sewards' Sealife Center and Exit Glacier. Stroll along the bay, enjoying the sights of eagles, beautiful surrounding mountains, even otters and sealions can be seen on occasion from shore. Let Alaska Private Lodgings make any of the following reservations for your enjoyment.

DAY 12 - Drive to Soldotna-Kenai-Kasilof areaDrive through Cooper Landing to some the Kenai/Soldotna/Kasilof areas. Some of the bluest river waters you'll ever see. Each of these towns offers a variety of bed and breakfast/cabin accommodations for your overnight comfort.

DAY 13 - Drive to HomerHead to the end of the road, Homer. This quaint little town with shops lining the Spit offers several options for activities which can be reserved through Alaska Private Lodgings. Once again, we represent several quality B&B lodgings, many with spectacular views and gracious hosts to make your stay a welcome one. |
DAY 14 - Do Homer
Your second night spent in the comfort of your Homer B&B. |
DAY 15 - Discover GirdwoodThe drive along the Seward Highway is exceptionally beautiful. Several stops along the way allow natural wildlife viewing opportunities. Be sure to visit Crow Creek Mine, Big Game Alaska and Portage Glacier. Alyeska Prince Hotel offers a tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska for a spectacular view of the inlet. Choose from mountain chalets and beautiful bed and breakfast homes for your last night in Alaska. |
DAY 16 - Return to AnchorageEnjoy your last night in the Anchorage area, time for last minute souvenier shopping or visiting some of those attractions you didn't quite get the chance to see in your first couple days. |
DAY 17 - Depart AnchorageHaving finished a great Alaska vacation, depart for home with some exceptional memories of this great land. |
